Quilt Raffle

A remarkable quilt made by Valerie Fercho-Tillery was donated for raffle. The quilt will be on regular display at The Nugget office, at Ray's Food Place over Memorial Day weekend, and on the lawn by Town Square on July 13 during the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show. The drawing will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 after Labor Day weekend.

Holiday Pet Food Drive

November 7 - December 19, 2012
Donations are much needed for the 2012 Furry Friends Food Drive. Dry dog and cat food may be dropped off at The Nugget Newspaper, 442 E. Main Ave., in Sisters up until December 19.
Food can also be purchased at Sisters Feed & Supply and they will deliver. A tax-deductible cash donation is especially helpful; it allows target purchasing of needed items, including specialty foods for allergic animals and food for senior pets, puppies and kittens. Checks can be dropped off at The Nugget Newspaper office or mailed to Furry Friends Foundation, P.O. Box 698, Sisters, OR, 97759 or you can donate online.

Dog Days of Sisters

The 4th annual event was held August 4, 2012. Celebrating all things canine, the day started with an artists’ reception at Sisters Art Works (corner of Ash and Adams). There was a 3-5K walk/run (dog participants encouraged!) at 9 a.m., taking off from Sisters Art Works, sponsored by Sisters Park & Recreation District.
